Thefts and vandalism reported

* On Dec. 2, police were called to Saddle Creek Golf Course and shown damage to 300 square feet of sod at greens 10 and 12. The satellite box next to the 10th hole that controls the irrigation system had been opened and all the electronic boards inside had been destroyed. Total cost of replacing the sod and repairing the box was estimated at $3,125.

* A Lewisburg woman reported to police her daughter had found a car she wanted to buy for $3,000 on Craigslist, but the sellers asked her to pay with Green Dot Money Pak cards and then never showed up with the car.

* Between Oct. 30 and Nov. 30, a Shebyville woman's storage unit on Nashville Highway was broken into and a glass jug containing $300 in coins, a five-CD stereo worth $100, and six cast iron skillets, worth a total of $500 were taken.

* Between Nov. 18 and Dec. 9, someone took a Charter Arms .38 caliber blue steel revolver with a two-inch barrel from a home on Ashwood Avenue. The gun was valued at $300.

* On Dec. 2, the door of an apartment on South Ellington Parkway was kicked in, but nothing appeared to be missing from the home. The door will cost an estimated $300 to replace.

* Between Nov. 21 and 28, someone got into a home on West Commerce Street, possibly through the garage and basement, and stole a wedding dress worth $200.

* A Lewisburg woman told police her purse was stolen out of her buggy while she was looking at jewelry at Walmart on Dec. 3. The purse and its contents were valued at a total of $178, and included $127 cash and two bottles of prescription medication.

* Between Dec. 5 and 6, Tennessee license plate A0909R, worth $74, was taken off a 1998 black Toyota 4D while it was parked at the owner's home on Spring Place Road.

* While a man was picking up trash along the fence line of a property on Hawkins Drive on Nov. 29, he found a plastic bag with a .22 caliber handgun inside it. The model number had been filed off the gun.

Arrested and charged with driving under the influence

* Manuel R. Gonzalez, 49, Crestland Street. Bond: $6,500; court date: Jan. 6. Additional charge: vehicular assault. On Nov. 29, Gonzalez allegedly pulled out of the BP station on East Commerce Street and struck a car, causing it to flip over and land on its roof. The driver and passenger were taken to Marshall Medical Center for treatment, according to the report by Lewisburg Police Officer Shaun Crawford.

* Preston J. Albright, 21, Culleoka. Bond: $2,000; court date: Jan. 6. This is allegedly Albright's second DUI.

* Robby L. Linley, 49, Taylor Street. Bond and court date not stated. This is allegedly Linley's second or third DUI.

* Jimmy D. Lentz, 39, Heil Avenue. Bond: $10,000; court date: Dec. 10. On Dec. 3, Lentz allegedly broke the sprinkler head in his cell at the jail, flooding the area, and setting off the fire alarm. "Once he was removed from his cell, Lentz stated he would do it again in the next cell he was in," reported Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy Travis Childers.
