With the prep golf season winding down, a young Forrest squad was hoping to notch a couple of wins and gain some confidence for the upcoming District 9 A Tournament, but instead was swept on the road at Champions Run Golf Club in Rockvale by host Eagleville.
Eagleville's Dakota Beech continued his fine play on the season, leading all golfers with a two-over par 37 on the front nine holes at Champions Run.

Eagles
Eagleville's Dakota Beech continued his fine play on the season, leading all golfers with a two-over par 37 on the front nine holes at Champions Run.
Dakota Thigpen notched 42, Torey Fusco carded a 47, and Ransom McRee shot 48 for the winning top four-man cumulative total of 174.
Matthew Boyette shot 50 in the fifth spot and Joel Duke carded a 52 for the Jennifer Snell coached squad.
Rockets
Gary Lukenon struggled to an uncharacteristic score of 43 around the 3,244-yard front nine to lead the Rockets, while Hawken King signed for a 49, Robert Garcia came home in 50 strokes, and Dayton Ward rounded out the top four with a 53.
Not included in the Rockets' 195 total was Jarvis Lyttle's 54 and Tim Elliot's tally of 61 strokes.
Tied with the Rockets with a 195 was the third member of the tri-team match in Middle Tennessee Christian School (MTCS).
Cougars
Barron Corley led the Cougars with a 46 and recorded an eagle on the Par 5 462-yard fourth hole.
Ben Brown shot 47 for MTCS, Ian Gregory signed for a 49, and Ian Harper came to the clubhouse in 53 strokes.
Lady Eagles
In girl's action, Brooklyn Snell continued her march for a second consecutive state tournament bid, leading the Lady Eagles to a 16-stroke win over the Lady Rockets.
Snell carded a 41 Kenya Hackney signed for a 53 to make the winning tally of the top two girl golfers at 94.
Jessie Pew needed 58 strokes on the day for Eagleville.
Lady Rockets
Forrest's Dani Hoeft hit several solid shots to lead the youthful Lady Rockets with a 52 and Caitlin Burt seemed to be in the high grass most of the day as she came to the clubhouse in 58 swings of the club.
Alyssa Elliot rounded out the girls' scoring with a 64.
Head Coach Jeremy Jean and the Rockets have three regular season matches remaining before the District 9A Tournament begins on Sept. 16 at the Legacy Golf Course in Springfield.
Champions Run will host the Region 5A Tournament the following week.
