The Forrest Middle School Rockets played host to Middle Tennessee Christian School on Tuesday for a double-header and got swept by the Cougars.
The Rockets lost the first game 8-5 when the Cougars scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning to break a 5-5 tie.
MTCS scored three runs in the first inning, but FMS came back with one run in the bottom of the inning and three more in the second to take a 4-1 lead.
The Cougars plated a pair of runs in the top of the fourth, but once again the Rockets came back to tie with a single tally in the home half of the frame.

MTCS starting pitcher JD McCracken left after facing one batter in the fifth inning, but Brock Culpepper came on to toss 1.2 innings of shutout ball to earn the save.
Justin Gillespie (RBI) went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Rockets and Cannon Cervantes (2RBI) had two hits in four at bats for the Rockets.
Noah Hill and Hunter Pendley (RBI) had one hit apiece and Max Kirby walked three times and scored twice.
Game two was a pitching duel as the Rockets batted in the visitors spot and managed just two hits off two MTCS hurlers in the contest.
Adam Jamison started Culpepper closed the door again on the Rockets to pick up his second save of the night.
Kirby, Cervantes, and Hill all had one hit apiece for Forrest.
MTCS came up with the only run they needed in the second inning to complete the sweep on an RBI base hit by Sam Dugger that scored Jordan Davenport.
FMS (5-4) traveled to Westwood last night and will host Eagleville on Tuesday with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
