The three county gridiron squads all have tough games in Week Two as the Marshall County Tigers and the Forrest Rockets host John Overton and Moore County respectively, while the Cornersville Bulldogs make the long trek to Wayne County where they will take on the Collinwood Trojans.

The Tigers, coming off a big 49-6 thrashing over Franklin County last week have revenge on their mind when they entertain the Bobcats from Nashville this week at Preston Hopkins Field in Lewisburg.

Overton handed Marshall County its lone regular season loss last year when they defeated the Tigers 42-41 on a failed two-point conversion try on the last play of regulation at Nashville.

The Bobcats are also coming off a big 41-7 opening season home win over Stewart County, but look for the Tigers to come out fired up and ready to play as the get payback over Overton with a 49-42 shootout win.

Forrest hosts longtime foe Moore County this week at Murrey E. Holton Memorial Field in Chapel Hill and the Rockets have dominated the Raiders the last three seasons, posting a shutout three-peat with a combined 86-0 score.

Forrest pasted Huntland last week and comes into the game healthy and ready to go as they play their last non-conference game before opening up Region 4AA play next week at Westmoreland.

A deep stable of Forrest running backs fits right into head coach Brent Johns' cemented plan of beating his opponent by rushing the ball until submission occurs and that's what Chapel Hill will do this week as they make it four wins in a row over the Lynchburg gang via a 42-17 win.

The Cornersville Bulldogs need a win bad after a heartbreaking 20-17 double overtime loss to Mt. Juliet Christian last week in Frog Bottom.

The Dawgs have a daunting test as they travel to Collinwood to take on a Trojan squad that beat Shoals Christian School from Alabama last week 15-8.

The Bulldogs have had no luck at Pat Brewer Stadium in Collinwood and have only one win over the Trojans since 2001.

Cornersville had a decent running game last week versus Mt. Juliet Christian, but fumbled the ball away four times and did not complete a pass versus the Knights.

Defense will rule the day at Collinwood and the Bulldogs performed admirably last week, allowing just six points in regulation in the loss and look for coach Gerard Randolph's squad to play with a big chip on their shoulder this week when they pull off a huge 21-20 upset win over the Trojans.

After the non-region Collinwood game, Cornersville begins an eight-game Region 4A gauntlet to end the season, beginning with a trip to Grace Christian School of Franklin next week.

After that, Cornersville has consecutive home games versus Moore County, Mt. Pleasant, Huntland and Summertown.
