The LMS Tigerettes were in catfight for a half versus E.A. Cox before pulling away in a big second half to win 25-13.
The Tigerettes won the game on the defensive end of the floor with plain evidence coming from an incredible 16 steals in the contest, as the Lady Cougars were never able to run their offense.
"I think our team defense was the key to the game," said LMS head coach Chris Coleman. "Our defensive pressure resulted in some easy scoring opportunities and that was important because we didn't make much from the outside."
Leah Hollingsworth set the tone early, swiping the rock four times in the first quarter, while scoring all four of the Tigerettes' points in a low-scoring stanza that had LMS in front 4-2.

Sydne Solomon hit one free throw early in the second quarter and Taylor Walls joined the thievery with a swipe and score to up the LMS lead to 7-2.
The Lady Cougars would come back, scoring the next four points to cut the LMS lead to a single digit.
A Kathryn Donahue jumper staved off the Lady Cougars and the Tigerettes went to the half time break with a 9-6 lead.
E.A. Cox scored first in the second half and had the ball with a chance to go ahead, but Demariae Ingram wanted in on the thefts, coming out of a scuffle with the rock before scoring, making it 11-7.
Ingram would hit one of two foul shots later on, but a Lady Cougar basket kept the visitors close at 12-9 with four minutes remaining in the period.
From there, Solomon took over the ballgame, stealing and dealing the last blow to the Lady Cats by scoring eight consecutive points, while E.A. Cox scored none to fall behind Lewisburg 20-9, entering the fourth quarter.
"Sydne is coming into her own on both ends of the floor," said Coleman. "She is impacting the game in a variety of ways and that has been a huge plus."
Solomon would score one more basket in the final period and Hollingsworth nailed a three-pointer to account for the Tigerettes' five markers in the 12-point victory.
"As a team, we have a lot of room for improvement and the first thing that comes to mind is how we start games," said Coleman. "We have played much better in our second halves, especially offensively, than we have in the first. Going forward, we must improve on starting the game strong and continue to have balanced scoring."
Solomon had a game high 11 points, 7 steals, and 10 rebounds in the contest.
Hollingsworth had nine points and four steals, Ingram netted four points, came up with three rebounds and four swipes, Taylor Walls had one theft and three rebounds, Donahue scored a deuce and grabbed two rebounds, and Mary Clayton Beech had one rebound for the Tigerettes.
