The Lewisburg Middle School Tigers (9-7) punched their ticket to the Southern Middle Tennessee Conference Tournament championship game Wednesday night by defeating Fayetteville Junior High 53-39 in the semifinals at E.A. Cox Middle School.
LMS controlled the game from start to finish, jumping out to an early 15-point advantage, and led by double digits the entire second half.
Forward Aaron Thomason led a balanced Tiger offensive attack with 15 points on seven-of-11 shooting to go along with four rebounds and one steal.Cody Vernon also added 11 points and 12 rebounds for Lewisburg and point guard Brock Spencer recorded 10 points, four assists, and two steals. Kevin Peterson registered nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots for LMS as well, while Brandon Bush added eight points, six steals, and four rebounds.
