Local student spins potter’s wheel
Aliyah Howard of Estill Springs, left, and Ryan Sublette of Chapel Hill, create designs in clay and form the clay into a bowl during the pottery class at The Webb School Summer Program Day Camp. Participants also learned how to use a pottery wheel and took home a completed project at the end of the week. The class was taught by Sue Wood, Webb’s pottery teacher. Other classes available during day camp were Engineering Challenges, Outdoor Adventures, Inspirational Math and LEGO Robotics. June 26-30 was the third and final week of Webb’s day camps.
