SHELBYVILLE -- A Petersburg-area man accused of stealing jewelry, dolls, knives, copper, coins and other collectibles was indicted last week by a Bedford County grand jury.
Allen Jasper Lawson Jr., 29, of 1358 Pickle Road, Petersburg, is named in three burglary and theft cases reported out on Dec. 17. Thirteen other defendants were indicted, including a woman who appears to have been Lawson's co-defendant.
Arrested in August by Shelbyville Police Detective Jason Williams and Bedford County Sheriff's Detectives Brian Farris and James "Scooter" Bonner, Lawson is being held without bond in Bedford County jail.
