Lewisburg Police Detectives are investigating a shooting Thursday night at 527 Jackson Avenue that sent a man to Vanderbilt Medical Center for emergency surgery for multiple gunshot wounds.

Tyler Pierce, 22, was shot multiple times with what was believed to be a handgun at approximately 10:45 in Jackson Trailer Park, authorities said in a news release Friday morning. He was transported to Marshall Medical Center and then flown to Nashville for emergency surgery, the release said.

Police said the victim was in stable condition early Friday morning. Authorities said they were seeking the identity of two black males who may have been see in the area in a red car at the time of the incident.
