MCHS Students Vote in Student Council Reps using voting machines
Marshall County Election Administrator Andrew Robertson shows Taylor Hartley, a rising junior at Marshall County High School, how to operate one of the county’s voting machines.
Students used the machines to vote for next year’s Student Council representatives.
“I’ve had a few say ‘wow, that’s all there is too it?’,” said Robertson. “I think it’s worth doing just to show the students how voting is done.”
Robertson said that , during the two election days, roughly 300 students voted in the election, 20 of whom also filled out voter registration forms for the next county elections.
