• Sept 30 - The South Central Human Resource Agency Governing Board Meeting & Training will be Sept. 30, 10:30 a.m. at the SCHRA Central office in Fayetteville.

• Oct 1 - Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze opens at Red Cedar Farms, 2041 Hwy 99, Chapel Hill; Kids Fun Zone each weekend with Petting Zoo and Bouncy Houses, plus more.

• Oct 2 - Lions Club Octoberfest; Saturday, Oct. 2nd, Rock Creek Park.

• Oct 2 - 19th Annual Arts-A-Poppin Show & Sale, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Oct 5 - The Mayor and Council of the City of Lewisburg will hold a work session Tuesday, Oct. 5, 5 p.m., at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 East Church Street.

• Oct 5 - The Cornersville Board of Mayor and Aldermen will have a work session with the Planning Commission at Town Hall on Oct. 5 at 6:30 p.m.

• Oct 7 - The Town of Cornersville will have its regular meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Oct. 7, 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall in Cornersville. This meeting is open to the public and all citizens are welcome to attend.

• Oct 9 - Hunters Run for the Hungry

• Oct 9 - FCPC Fall Craft Fair, Saturday, Oct. 9, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 402 2nd Ave. North

• Oct 9 - The Second Avenue Church of Christ will have a food and clothing giveaway, Saturday, Oct. 9th, starting at 9 a.m. at 720 2nd Avenue North.

• Oct 11 - The Marshall County Board of Public Utilities at 624 West Commerce Street will be closed Monday, Oct. 11th in observance of Columbus Day. The office will reopen Tuesday, Oct.12th at 8:00 am.

• Oct 11 - All City of Lewisburg offices will be closed on Monday, Oct. 11th in observation of the Columbus Day Holiday.

• Oct 11 - The office of Town Hall in Cornersville will be closed on Monday, Oct. 11th in observance of Columbus Day. The office will open on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at the regular hour of 7:30 a.m.

• Oct 12 - The Mayor and Council of the City of Lewisburg will hold their regular monthly meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 12, 6 p.m. at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 East Church Street.

• Oct 12 - The Cornersville Beer Board will have a meeting at Town Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 12th at 6:30 p.m.

• Oct 14 - La Leche League of Lewisburg will meet Thursday, Oct. 14, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Contact Anna Childress at 931-637-5810 for location.

• Oct 16 - Lewisburg Hempfest Saturday, Oct. 16 at Rock Creek Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and we will have live music, vendors, food, car show and more.

• Oct 18 - The Airport Board of the City of Lewisburg will meet Monday, Oct. 18, 2 p.m. at Lewisburg Ellington Airport, 1877 Franklin Pike.

• Oct 21 - The South Central Human Resource Agency Head Start/Early Head Start Policy Council meeting will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 21, at the South Central Human Resource Agency Central Office, in Fayetteville.

• Oct 23 - Festival Days in Chapel Hill; 1 to 6 p.m.; downtown Chapel Hill; local specialty shops will be open, there will be crafts, food trucks, kids’ activities, more.

• Oct 25 - The Board of Lewisburg Electric System will hold their October Board Meeting at 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 25. The meeting will be held at the LES office, 599 W. Ellington Pkwy. The meeting is open to the public.

• Oct 26 - The Community Development Board of the City of Lewisburg will hold their regular monthly meeting Tuesday, Oct. 26, 12 p.m., at the Historic 1st Avenue Building, located at 207 1st Ave. N.

• Oct 29 - 30 - Haunted Corn Maze at Red Cedar Farms, 2041 Hwy 99, Chapel Hill; 7 p.m. to midnight.
