A homicide which occurred this summer is still under investigation, and the Lewisburg Police Department is now asking for help from the public.

"It's unlike any other case we've had," said Detective Scott Braden.

The victim was Kevin Griffin, 26, of 490 Hill Street. His body was discovered at his home on July 29, but investigators believe he was killed 10 days earlier, on July 19.

Police are interested in talking to anyone who may have seen or had contact with Griffin during the week leading up to, or on the day of, July 19. People may have seen his car, a 2000 two-door maroon Pontiac Grand Am. Griffin was "into the gaming networks," said Braden, and spent a lot of time in the house.

Griffin was the only tenant of 490 Hill Street, according to Lewisburg Housing Authority Director Ronald Robinson, who noted the house has still not been cleared for return to LHA by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Investigators are asking that anyone with information related to this, or any other, case to call the Lewisburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at (931) 359-3800 or Crime Stoppers at (931) 359-4867.
