I hope that you receive this email and share it. Last night Knoxville Central High School played Marshall County in the semi-finals. This past week, one of our little cheerleaders was savagely and bizarrely murdered by an exboyfriend. You've probably heard about it on the news, because it's gone national. Randy and I missed this game, but our daughter called last night to try and share the stories about the kindness of your fans. Our granddaughter is also one of the cheerleaders and stands next to the child that was murdered. Both have the name, "Emma," which has caused quite a bit of confusion, especially on the start. Our Emma feels so guilty because of the relief when our friends and acquaintances find out that it wasn't her. She says that she feels so horrible for the other Emma's family. It's been a horrible week for everyone. Your cheerleaders met our girls as they got off the bus last night with goodie baskets and more. Our daughter said that they gave purple balloons to our students and had a beautiful prayer for all our folks and especially her family. They brought warm cookies to our girls at halftime. Your cheerleaders also wore purple ribbons because that was Emma's favorite color. Our Christy also said that someone had anonymously donated almost $6,000 dollars for the Walker family. They found out that it was the fine people from Lewisburg. I could go on and on. They even said to them as they were going to the busses that they would be pulling for them to win state. Central won the game, but Lewisburg won the game of life. I'm sure that you must go to church or are acquainted somehow with these fine people. Please, please share the overwhelming gratitude from all of us to you. I sat here this morning and shared, through tears, with Randy that the Lord ALWAYS triumphs over evil. It will be in his time, but it happened last night in Lewisburg. Thank you... and praise God from whom ALL blessings flow.
