Since 1,200-plus customers were reported to be without electricity in Marshall County Monday afternoon, the Marshall County Office of Emergency Management is opening a shelter at Lewisburg Recreation Center, 1551 Mooresville Highway, starting at 4 p.m.
Volunteers will be available to help people sheltering there. You can bring an air mattress and your own bedding, if you wish. The EMA is also looking into food being provided.
