The Forrest Rocket wrestling team continued their torrid start, sweeping a dual meet versus David Lipscomb Academy and Fairview Thursday night in Chapel Hill.
"We are very pleased to be off to a good start, but it is a long season," said Forrest head coach Kyle Stacey. "I'm most concerned about where we will be as team in February during the Regional Dual Tournament and Individual Region Tournament."

Four pins
The Rockets pasted Fairview 63-18 as Ivan Wentzel, Bryan Clanton, Dillon Kydd, and Dylan Pendley all came away with pins in the match.
Cooper McNair also took home a win for the Rockets in the 138-pound weight class when Fairview's Benji Gonzalez was disqualified for an illegal throw.
Jamie Boyce, William Eddins, Coy Monce, and Cage Hargrove all took six points apiece on forfeits, while Nick Tahmassebi garnered three points in a tough 12-11 decision over Bradley Kamp.
"Our wrestlers have worked extremely hard this fall and we have been fortunate to have them in a weight lifting class with the all the other male athletes in the school this year," said Stacey. "This has helped tremendously. We have 35 kids out this year for wrestling and as a result, they will all get better through competition each day in practice."
Easy victory
The Rockets are strong and they showed it again versus David Lipscomb Academy as Forrest came away with a convincing 72-12 blowout win over the Nashville private school.
Wentzel earned his second pin of the night, dropping Jediah Willis in the 160-pound weight class to begin the match.
Jerry Jordan and Boyce were awarded forfeits before Lipscomb's James Barrett pinned Eddins in the 195-pound division.
In the 220-pound weight class, Kydd lifted the Rockets back up with his second pin of the night, this time over Lipscomb's Jesse Roberson.
Mustang heavyweight Josh Smith pinned Nikolas McGuiggan, before Dante Duncan picked up six points for Forrest via a forfeit.
Pendley came up with a pin over Benjamin Cook to cap off his 12-point meet, while Alex Jordan followed with another forfeit win for Forrest.
Peyton Sisk (132) got into the act with a pin over Andrew Neyland and Joseph Williams (138), Austin Geeting (145), and Watson (152) rounded out the scoring with three consecutive forfeit wins for the Rockets.
Adjusting
"We have a lot of kids wrestling out of their weight classes right now and it will take a while for our football players to make the transition from football to wrestling, but I am confident they will be committed to getting to their wrestling weight," said Stacey.
Forrest sent two wrestlers to the state tournament last year in Spenser McGuiggan and Hargrove, who will attempt to qualify for the big show for the third consecutive season.
"We have several experienced wrestlers returning this year and the team and coaching staff will look to wrestlers such as Cage Hargrove, Jamie Boyce, Tyler McClendon, and Bryan Clanton for leadership throughout the year," said Stacey. "We wrestle in an extremely tough region which consist of; but not limited to, Eagleville, Page, Fairview, Harpeth, and Lipscomb Academy."
