Friends and family of Mrs. Lucy Tate recently gathered at Village Manor Assisted Living to honor her in celebration of her 95th birthday. The room was beautifully decorated in a fall theme, compliments of Mike and Melody Spence. Guests included several former employees of Dixie Foods Grocery Store, where Mrs. Tate was the bookkeeper/head cashier for many years. Other guests were members of her church family, numerous friends and family members. Mrs. Tate has three children, Mark (Kay) Tate, Charles (Gail) Tate and Patsy (Tom) Santel, as well as 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her beloved husband of 69 years, Mr. Gene Tate, passed away in 2011.
