The Marshall County Tigers looked into a mirror Saturday night at David Lipscomb and did not like the reflection they saw.
The entire season the Tigers have lived from beyond the three-point stripe, ironically they died by it as the Mustangs buried two early first quarter bombs and never let up, winning, 75-59, and eliminating MCHS from postseason play.
District 10AA Coach of the Year, Jason Tigert said after the game, "They were clicking on all cylinders early. They did just not make any mistakes tonight."
The Tigers finished the season with a record of 23-7 and Tigert said, "We improved by 15 games from last season (8-21). I don't know of many teams across the entire state that did that."
Marshall County was 8-29 from downtown in the game, falling behind early, 10-5, to the Mustangs before mounting a gutsy late first-period comeback to trail by just three, 15-12.
