The Marshall County Tigers took care of business Tuesday night at home in the quarter-finals of the District 10AA District Tournament, toppling East Hickman for the third time this year 62-42 to advance to a Friday night game versus Spring Hill.

The Tigers, regular season district champions and the No. 1 seed, also assured themselves a region berth with the 20-point win.

Marshall County (22-5) jumped out to an early16-4 first quarter lead, built it to 29-17 by the end of the first and cruised home versus the bottom-seeded Eagles.

Senior DeShaun Greer led the way for the Tigers, finishing with 18 points and 19 rebounds. Blaise Spencer hit four three's and finished with 13 points, Hunter Osborne had three long bombs and scored 11, Ryan Nicholson netted 10, Jamie Perryman five, Dillon Stinnett scored three, and Cameron McCullough had two points.

The Tigers were without the services of freshman Kedron Johnson, who sat out with a hip pointer. Johnson is not expected back for ten days.
