Barry James Bates, 43, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011.
Mr. Bates was a native of Marshall County, and son of Kirby Wayne Bates of Bell Buckle and Virginia Bell Jones Smits of Lewisburg. He was formerly employed with Kantus Corporation and was a member of Westvue Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Kirby (Dawn) Bates Jr. and Timmy (Kim) Bates, both of Shelbyville; sister, Kristy (Ricky) Luna of Lewisburg; stepfather, Art Smits of Lewisburg; stepmother, Dot Bates of Bell Buckle; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 31, in Lone Oak Cemetery.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
