Bernie L. Hunt, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at her home in Lexington, S.C. She was born in Kingston, Tenn. on June 7, 1920.
Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, Alden L. and Hettie M. Light of Kingsport, Tenn. and brother, Harold L. Light of Columbus, Ohio. She was a dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Bernie is survived by her husband of 71 years and 10 months, Otis M. Hunt of Lexington, S.C.; daughters, Charlene K. (Richard) Graves of Columbus, Ohio, Marvena H. (Gary) Oxley of Lexington, S.C., and Carolyn H. (James) Dulin of Lynnville; sister, Betty J. (Gene) Rusch of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Greg and Michelle Parker of Jacksonville, Fla., Dawn and Shawn Rousch of Columbus, Ohio, Kelly and Brent Brock of Lexington, S.C., Shannon and Ben Amick of Lexington, S.C, Christopher Jackson of Lynnville, Kara and Rick Winkel of Franklin, and Tara and Kerry Massey of Thompson's Station; and 17 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Nathan, Josh, Matt, Grayson, Garrett, Jessica, Melissa, Hunt, Abby, Jesse, Peden, Nathan, Mac, Christina, Brent Jr., and Colton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Cornersville Funeral Home, followed by interment at Dulin-Hunt Cemetery on Blue Creek Road.
Visitation will start at noon, Dec. 6, and continue until the funeral hour.
