Betty Frances Jenkins Davis, 92, of Cornersville, died Saturday, July 18, 2020, at her residence.

She was a native of Dixon Springs, TN, born on Jan. 10, 1928, to the late Jack and Mable Clark Jenkins. She graduated from Huntingdon High School and the Bowling Green Business College. She married William Finley Davis and they made their first home on Coffey Branch Road in Cornersville where the farm provided a mostly wonderful life for them and their daughters, Beth and Melissa. Substitute teaching, sewing, campaigning, gardening, teaching Bible School classes and caring for her family were all activities she enjoyed. She greatly enjoyed encouraging breast cancer patients. The many kindnesses she shared made a change in many struggling to live and be better. She loved her church and attended at Ostella Church of Christ. She strived to be more than a casual Christian. The Clark sisters, Teachout’s, and Allen families were families she adored.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by husband, William Finley Davis and a brother, Jack Clark Jenkins.

She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Jacqueline Elizabeth Davis, Melissa Anne Davis, both of Cornersville; one grandson, Jack (Ashley) Heath and one great-granddaughter, Mable Ann Heath, all of Hohenwald.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 19, 2020, at 5 p.m. from Ostella Church of Christ with Marlin Finley officiating and burial followed in New Hope Ostella.

Visitation with the family began Sunday, July 19, 2020, from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Ostella Church of Christ.

All who loved her can honor her memory by all being sweet and kind to each other. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marshall County Veteran’s Outreach, c/o 305 West Church Street, Lewisburg, TN 37091.

Cornersville Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with their arrangements.
