Betty June Slagle, 84 of Columbia, formerly of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Life Care Center in Columbia.

Mrs. Slagle was the daughter of the late Hobert Moore and Clara Davis Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ernest Slagle, who passed away in 2008; one brother, Don Moore, and one sister, Peggy VanZant.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Steward of Westmoreland and Connie (Bill) McLain of Columbia; one son, Gary (Becky) Slagle of Columbia; one sister, Bobbie (J.B.) Brown of Dandridge; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Moore of Knoxville; six grandsons, Jeff McLain, Adam Fowler, Brett Fowler, Jonathan Fowler, Richie Slagle, and Alex Slagle; one granddaughter, Jennifer McLain; four great-grandsons; and six great-granddaughters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Slagle were held Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Woodford officiating. Burial followed in Lone Oak Cemetery.
