Wilkes, age 79 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, in NHC Lewisburg Healthcare.
Ms. Wilkes was a native of Marshall County and daughter of the late Ed and Pearl Calahan Wood. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brent Wilkes and daughter, Vickie Heflen. Her only survivors are cousins.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 in the Bryant Cemetery at Mooresville. There will be no visitation before the service.
London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
