On Monday, July 15, 2013, Billy Wayne Ketchum Sr., 72, lost his 20-plus-year battle with cancer in Shelbyville. Mr. Ketchum was born in Lewisburg, but lived most of his adult life in Connecticut, moving back to Middle Tennessee eight years ago. Billy Wayne Ketchum Sr.

On Monday, July 15, 2013, Billy Wayne Ketchum Sr., 72, lost his 20-plus-year battle with cancer in Shelbyville.

Mr. Ketchum was born in Lewisburg, but lived most of his adult life in Connecticut, moving back to Middle Tennessee eight years ago.

He was predeceased by his father, James Ketchum; his mother, Carine Keel Ketchum; and his sisters, Geraldine Wright and Brenda Gayle Eady.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ketchum, and 10 children,

Dorothy Coad, Jerry Palmer, William Ketchum, Michelle Ketchum, Michael Ketchum, Nancy Falcone, Deborah Barker, Billy W. Ketchum Jr., Tonya McFadyen, and Paula Hunt; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bill's final fight against cancer was his decision to donate his body to science to further the quest for a cure.

No services will be held at this time.
