Mr. Bruce Wood, age 95, of the Ostella Community, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at St. Thomas West Hospital.
Mr. Wood was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late George Wesley and Maggie McMackin Wood. He was a lifelong dairy farmer and member of the former New Hope Methodist Church and attended Richland Cumberland Presbyterian.
In addition his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Wood in 2012, a brother, Roy Newman Wood, and two grandchildren. He is survived by two sons, Maury Wood of the Springplace Community, and Danny Wood of Ostella. Nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home with burial to follow in Beechwood Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Friday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beechwood Cemetery Association 508 S. Main St., Cornersville, TN 37047.
