Calvin Derrell Eskridge, 51, of Lewisburg, passed on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017. He was the son of the late Floyd A. Eskridge and Myr-Dell Eskridge. He became a member of Gloryland M.B. Calvin Derrell Eskridge

Calvin Derrell Eskridge, 51, of Lewisburg, passed on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017. He was the son of the late Floyd A. Eskridge and Myr-Dell Eskridge. He became a member of Gloryland M.B. Church, while attending college in Houston, TX and often visited Greater First Baptist Church in Lewisbuug. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Derrell graduated from Joliet West High in Joliet, IL. He received his B.A. degree at Texas Southern University. He was a 33rd degree Mason and a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his family. Early on, he worked as a counselor at Magnolia Academy, and then became a fireman for the City of Lewisburg until his health failed. He will missed and remembered with loving affection.

Calvin Derrell Eskridge is survived by his mother, Myr-Dell Eskridge; two sisters, Tonya Eskridge of IL and Tamara Eskridge of Lewisburg; three aunts, Patricia Conner of Columbia, Florine Anderson of Savannah, TN and Ametta Cornelius of Plainfield, IL; cousins and a host friends.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, 10 a.m. at Greater First Baptist Church in Lewisburg. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor William H. Johnson, Eulogist. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
