We regret to inform you that Calvin Derrell Eskridge, age 51, of Lewisburg, passed on Saturday, November 18, 2017. He was born the son of the late Floyd A. Eskridge, and Myr-Dell Eskridge. He was a member of Gloryland M.B. Church, in Houston, TX and often visited Greater First Baptist Church in Lewisbuug. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Derrell, graduated from Joliet W. High in Joliet, IL. He received his B.A. degree at Texas Southern Univ. He was a 33rd degree Mason, and a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, in his spare time he was an outdoors-man and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked as a counselor at Magnolia Academy, and later as a fireman for the City of Lewisburg. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother, Myr-Dell Eskridge, two sisters: Tonya Eskridge and Tamara Eskridge of Lewisburg, three aunts Patricia Conner of Columbia, Florine Anderson of Savannah, TN and Ametta Cornelius of Plainfield, IL and many other cousins and friends.
The Funeral service was at 11:00 AM, on Sat., Nov. 25th at Greater First Baptist Church, with Pastor William H. Johnson, Eulogist. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
