Charles Bryan Smith, 53, passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at Tristar Centennial Medical Center.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug, 28, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on June 20, 1968, in North Wilkesboro, NC, Bryan was the son of Mary Jo & Henry Blair Chapman and the late David Smith, Sr. He was a longtime walking horse trainer who loved riding horses and often trained horses on the side. Bryan was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching westerns, and having a good time. He especially loved spending time with his daughter, Jastyn.
In addition to his mother, step-father, and daughter, he is survived by the mother of his daughter, Martina Smith-Bolanos of Smyrna, TN; stepchildren, Jaclissa Haislip of Atlanta, GA, Drew McLean of Vero Beach, FL; brothers, David (Tyree) Smith, Jr. of Lewisburg, TN, Marc (Tracy) Smith of Hickory, NC; sister, Kristen Smith of Lewisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
