Charles Douglas Woods, 88, of Lewisburg, TN, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, at Marshall Medical Center.
He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Leroy Woods and Kate Henry Woods. He was retired from Acipco where he worked as a Human Resource representative for 30 years. He enjoyed working as a farmer and raising Angus cattle. He was a member of the Cornersville Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his late wife, Gail Allen Woods; sons, Greg, Steve, Daniel and Ken Woods; brothers, Jim and Leroy Woods.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Blasingim Gipson Woods; stepdaughters, Penny (Mike) Smith, Acworth, GA, and Tracy (Gary) Haskins, Lewisburg, TN; son, Randy Woods of Lewisburg, TN; several grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Justin (Carolanne) King, Joshua (Mackenzie) King, and Jessica (Chris) King Gillium; Zachary Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted by Jimmy Jean and Rick Rolin on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, TN 37091, with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family began Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, from 4 until 8 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to the Cornersville Church of Christ building fund if desired or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
