Charlie was born on Oct. 25, 1954, to Leonard and Robbie Mae Cozart Blackwell. He was the second youngest of ten children. Charlie owned and operated Blackwell Sales & Tires for 25 years. Prior to that he owned and operated a flea market ten years. He retired in September of 2015. Charlie was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Survivors include his sons, Jeromy (Candy) Blackwell, Anthony Blackwell, Chris (Brandy) Blackwell all of Shelbyville; brothers, Les (Melba) Blackwell and Dennis Blackwell both of Lewisburg; sisters, Sadie Hobbs, Debbie Linley, Pauline Hulshof, Carol (Austin) Smith, Virginia Allen, Julene Reese, Patricia Malave all of Lewisburg; seven grandchildren, Zack Blackwell, Trevor Chaney, Chelsey Blackwell, Brianna Blackwell, Savannah Blackwell, Xander Blackwell, Brayden Blackwell; two great-grandchildren; and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Honorary pallbearers include his grandchildren and brothers, Les and Dennis Blackwell.
