Charles William Tate, 82, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Clarence Wright and Elaine Gillum Tate. He was in Data Processing with Teledyne during his working years and a member of the Cornersville Church of Christ.
He is survived by wife of 60 years, Patricia Stewart Tate; two daughters, Debora (Bob) Allen of Nashville, Cindy Tate (Andy) Allen of Belfast; grandchildren, Amanda Allen (Mike) Balek, Megan Allen (Mike) Denihan, Candice Allen (Brent) Jackson, Corey (Christi) Allen; eight great-grandchildren, Bennett Tate Balek, KateLynn Grace, Peyton Elizabeth, and Presley Michelle Denihan, Finley Wyatt and Addilyn Holly Jackson, and Alexa Mai and Cooper Andrew Allen.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home, 310 North Main St., Cornersville, TN and burial followed in Beechwood Cemetery.
Visitation with the family began Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and continued Sunday, February 23, 2020, until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN and Beechwood Cemetery Fund.
Cornersville Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
