Clatie Joyce Baucom Richardson, 79, of Petersburg, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at her home surrounded by family and friends. Joyce was born on March 23, 1941, in Marshall County. Joyce was a devoted and loving wife, mother, Meme, sister, aunt and friend. She was a faithful member of Petersburg First Baptist Church and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, taking care of others, family and friends. Joyce retired from Cosmolab in Lewisburg.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Richardson, Jr.; son, Donnie Richardson; sister, Hilda Patterson; brothers, Wayne Baucom and Tom Baucom; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth & Nancy Richardson; nephews, Bart Benson and Billy Joe Richardson; and parents-in-law, Fred, Sr. & Clara Ruth Richardson.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie (Rob) Williams of Petersburg; grandchildren, Amanda Cavanah (Bryant Armstrong) of Fayetteville and Michael Williams of Cookeville; great-grandchildren, Kara Minor, Will Minor, Jessa Cavanah, Emma Williams and William Armstrong; sister, Cynthia (Parker) Benson of Winchester; brother-in-law, Leon (Nancy Jo Morton) Richardson of Belfast, Larry (Patricia) Richardson of Petersburg, Gerry (Cathie) Richardson of Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed and forever live in our hearts.
Funeral services are Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 1 p.m. at the Petersburg First Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Taylor and Bro. Doug Brown officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Petersburg First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Petersburg First Baptist Church Building Fund, 107 Church Street, Petersburg, TN 37144.
