Mrs. Doris Jean Norwood Mills, 88, of Lewisburg, TN, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, in Lewisburg.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial followed in Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg. Family members visited with friends Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.

Born on Aug. 2, 1932, in Harris, AL, she was a daughter of the late Charles LaVan and Myrtle Noah Norwood. Mrs. Mills was a graduate of Morgan School in Petersburg and retired from Cosmolab after 20 years of service. She will be remembered as a loving mother and nanny.

Jean is survived by three sons, Jerry Manley, Mike (Connie) Mills, and Terry (Sam) Mills, all of Lewisburg, TN; two daughters, Vicki (Darrell) Horton, Smyrna, TN and Kathi (Steve) Calahan, Lewisburg, TN; eight grandchildren, Wendy (George) Yurcic, Steven Reed, John (Mary) Manley, Mary Jane (James) Martin, Terry Mills, II, Cecil (Carolyn) Mills, Kevin (Sara) Calahan, Stephanie (Kevin) Giles, Kenzie Greenway; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Bennett, Estes Park, CO. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers were Steven Reed, Cecil Mills, Kevin Calahan, Terry Mills, II, George Yurcic and Kevin Giles.
