Edward Brown Burgess, 84, of Lewisburg, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Burgess was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Claude and Ina Lou Poarch Burgess. He retired from Teledyne in the maintenance department and was a member of the Hickory Heights Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and David Burgess, and a sister, Margaret Gillum.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Flossie Harber Burgess of Lewisburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, from Hickory Heights Church of Christ, with burial to follow at Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family began Tuesday evening at London Funeral Home and will continue on Wednesday morning at Hickory Heights from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
