Edwin J. Dropka, Jr. died on Thursday, Aug. 30. He was born May 4, 1937 to Edwin Joseph and Adeline Dropka in Cicero, Ill. He was an engineering graduate of General Motors Institute in Flint, Mich., and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Wylie, Tex.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Caroline of Bonham, Tex.; sister, Joan Smothers (Bruce) of La Grange, Ill.; two sons, Daniel (Eve) of Wichita Falls, Tex., and Thomas (Cristi) of Melissa, Tex.; daughter, Lynn Dropka of Cornersville; step-son, Tony Howard (Patsy) of Bonham, Tex.; two step-daughters, Lynn Gonzales (Ismael) of Houston, Tex., and Connie Howard of Pottsboro, Tex.; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Audrey, Austin, Joey, John, Carla and Wesley; and two great grandchildren, Madison and Logan. His first wife, Marianne, to whom he was married for 26 years, predeceased him.
