Mrs. Bentle was a native of Sumner County, and daughter of the late Robert Wallace and Annie McDole Bentle. Elizabeth Imogene Bentle, 91, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. Bentle was a native of Sumner County, and daughter of the late Robert Wallace and Annie McDole Bentle. She was a 1938 graduate of Marshall County High School and attended Carson Newman University. She was retired from Heil Quaker Corporation and was a member of Lewisburg First Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by a niece, Joan Petty Hicks, she is survived by one sister, Maxine (Roy) Petty of Lewisburg, and a niece, Janet (Eddie) Wiles of Lewisburg.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 14, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
