Emerson Wilson "Ike" Willis, 80, of Cornersville, died Monday, June 24, 2013, in Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Mr. Willis was a native of Bedford County, and son of the late Jesse "Tot" and Martha Sarah Wilson Willis. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Duck River Electric Membership Corporation and was a member of the Cornersville First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wilma Jackson Willis of Cornersville; son, Kerry Lance Willis and daughter-in-law Anna of Lynnville; brother, William Vernie Willis of Shelbyville; and grandchildren, Kerry and Chelsea. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, from the chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Pressgrove Cemetery in Unionville with military honors.
The family will be at Cornersville Funeral Home Friday until the funeral hour for visitation.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Lance Willis, Dwight Willis, Ronnie Morgan, Robert Pugh, Buddy Wortham, and Troy Crowell.
Honorary pallbearers are All Riding Buddies.
Cornersville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
