Mr. Ezell Fowler, 93, of Cornersville, finished his course on earth Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at Maury Regional Hospital.

Mr. Fowler was a native of Marshall County and was the son of the late Otis and Knoxie Cochran Fowler. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a medic and x-ray technician during World War II. He was a member of Robertson Fork Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lacy Fowler; son, Kenneth Doyle Fowler; sisters, Virginia Donald, Mary Ruth Pruitt, Evelyn Wright; brothers, Sidney Fowler, Harold “Mo” Fowler, James L. Fowler, and Hugh Thomas Fowler (infant).

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Sue Barlar and son, Leonard Dwight Fowler; sisters, Edwina Terry, Faye Dyer, June Welch, Peggy Beard; brother, Cordell Fowler; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Ezell was known by many names, but “Poppa” described him best because he was Peaceful, Optimistic, Patient, Prayerful, and Admirable. He was well known for his mechanical expertise, avid gardening skills, and storytelling. Ezell was a very knowledgeable man who loved sharing his experiences and memories with anyone with time to listen. Our family is so proud of his accomplishments over the years, but mostly we are honored to have had him in our lives and will forever be grateful and proud of the husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and man of God that we have been blessed with.
