Mr. Fred Collins, 73, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Collins was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Leonard Rice and Susie Evalena Stinett Collins. He was employed at Dalton’s Lumber Yard and was also a farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Thomas Collins and Paul Collins, and a half-sister, Beth King.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Luna Collins of Lewisburg; one son, Jimmy Collins of Lewisburg; a step son, Christopher Collins of Lewisburg; and two sisters, Jessie Purdom of Lewisburg, and Louise Davis of Belfast; three grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and one great grandchild also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Friday evening from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will continue on Saturday until the funeral hour.
