Mrs. Jo Ellen Haislip, 89, of Cornersville, died Monday, May 25, 2020, at her home in Cornersville.
Mrs. Haislip was born in Giles County. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Alexander Spivy and Joanna Collins Spivy; two brothers, John Alexander Spivy and William Douglas Spivy; and one sister, Della Mae Rudd.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Billy D. Haislip; daughters, Connie Haislip Jones of Lewisburg and Nina (Jesse) Bunch of Fayetteville; sister, Dorothy Beatrice (Foster) Garrett of Pulaski; two brothers, Frank Allen (Elaine) Spivy of Bossier City, LA and Gordon Eugene (Dianne) Spivy of Lynnville; two grandchildren, Amber Jones of Panama City Beach, FL, and Shannon Jones of Lewisburg; four step-grandchildren, Alan (Hope) Bunch of Flintville, Butch (Michelle) Bunch, and Tink (Sandy) Bunch, both of Owens Cross Roads, AL, and Matthew Bunch of Huntsville, AL; three great-grandchildren; fourteen step great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, May 29, 2020, at 12 p.m. from Medium Cemetery with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
Cornersville Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
