Joe A. Alexander, 71, of Lewisburg, passed on Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was the son of the late Annie Lou and James Alexander and a member of Greater First Baptist Church in Lewisburg.
He graduated from Marshall County High School and attended Columbia State Community College. He was employed by I.C.P. in Lewisburg, and later retired from ICP in IN.
He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Hicks; one son, Torey Alexander, seven grandchildren: Shaun Hicks, II, Ariel Hicks, Alexandria Hicks, Malik Hicks, Audi Hicks, Shamari Butler and Ta’Neal Alexander; two brothers, Sylvester (Ruby Wells) of Minneapolis, MN, Douglas (Ramonda) of Belfast, TN; one sister, Minister Nora Alexander of Lewisburg; his former wife, Annette C. Alexander of Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Family Life Center and the funeral service was at 1 p.m. at Greater First Baptist Church.
