Joy Wiles Sweeney, 65, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020. She was a lifetime resident of Marshall County and graduated from Marshall County High School in Lewisburg.
Joy was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend to so many. She loved people. Her special talent was cooking and sharing special treats like cakes, pies, homemade ice cream and bread with others. She was an active member of Harpeth Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Joy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kenny Sweeney, Chapel Hill, TN; her son, John Sweeney, Smyrna, TN; a sister, Janet (Robbie) Franklin; nieces, Robin (Reid) Beebe, Wendy (Adam) Kuhn, and Kelly (John) Tate all of Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary White and Vance Wiles.
The family gathered Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at 1 p.m. for a private memorial service at the Wiles home place.
