Joyce Faye Wright, 71, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013.

She was born June 1, 1942, in Marshall County to the late Lenzie and Dallie Mae Bowen Poarch. She worked at Jostens Incorporated until failing health forced her to retire. She attended East Park Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rickie Wright; a granddaughter, Amanda Nichols; and two brothers, William and Charles L. Poarch.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Homer Wright of Shelbyville; a son, Gary Wright of Lewisburg; four daughters, Wanda Wright Cumberland and her husband Tony of Murfreesboro, Vicky Wright Voelkel and her husband Richard,of the Flat Creek Community, Sandy Wright Tap and her husband Jet of Chapel Hill, and Laura Wright Pugh of Shelbyville; a brother, Lewis Wayne Poarch of Pulaski; a sister, Gina Daly and her husband David of Prospect; 16 grandchildren, Rachel Pope and her husband Josh, Ben Nichols, Megan Loomis, Kristienne Voelkel Brandon, Danielle Voelkel Knois and her husband Todd, Laura Voelkel, Jerry Tapp and his wife Beth, Chris Tapp and his wife Valerie, Jessica Russell and her husband Jon, Jesse Pugh, Jenny Pugh, Kate Pugh, Jason Wright, Sherry Cumberland Hayes, David Cumberland and his wife Brooke, Gary Cumberland and his wife Liz, and Terri Cumberland Sensing and her husband Chris; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 26, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Randall Harmon officiating, followed by burial in Liggett-Andrews Cemetery in Lewisburg.

Feldhaus Memorial Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements.
