Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Holden, Sr., 66, of Shelbyville, passed from this life Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at The Waters of Shelbyville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Houston-Whitworth Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 31, 2020, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A native of Shelbyville, Kenny was born Oct. 8, 1953, to the late Goodman Carl “Buck” and Margaret Sullivan Holden and is preceded in death one sister, Betty Holden and one brother, William “Bill” Holden.
Kenny worked in public transportation in Shelbyville, Winchester, and Lewisburg as a driver for Mullins Taxi. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, fisherman, and a people person. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was of the Baptist in faith.
Survivors include his sons, Wayne (Shelley) Holden, Jr. of Shelbyville, and George (Kelly) Holden of Cornersville: grandchildren, Jacob Stewart, Kayla, Maggie, Ali Sims, and David Holden; great grandchildren, Braxton, and Carson Cobb; bonus grandchildren, Peyton Vaughn, Tyler and Chelsie Dye; niece, Margaret Garcia; and nephews, David Holden, Chris (Michelle) Holden, and Mike Holden.
