Larry Evans Jones, age 83, of Lewisburg, TN, died Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Maury County Regional Health Center.

He was born on April 17, 1940, in Marshall County to the late Clyde Jones and Clara Stephens Jones. He retired as Superintendent for the Lewisburg Water and Wastewater Department after many years of service. He was actively involved in the Lewisburg Lions Club and served in the Tennessee Army National Guard. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and was an avid car enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandra Nichols Jones in 2020; one brother, Van Jones and sister-in-law Evelyn Jones.

He is survived by two sons, Randal (Jenny) Jones of Lewisburg and Kyle (Priscilla) Jones of Cornersville; four grandchildren, Evan (Chelsea) Jones, Austin, Blake, and Kaitlyn Jones all of Cornersville; one niece and one nephew.

His funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, TN 37091, with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery. Members of the Lewisburg Lions Club will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home.
