Mary Janice Farmer, 82, resident of Lewisburg, died on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born on Nov. 13, 1938, in Alderson, WV, she was the daughter of the late Walter Baker and Bertha Launa Dorman Baker. She enjoyed oil painting, arts and crafts. She also enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She loved her family most of all.
Survivors include her sons, Doug (Ronda) Farmer of Lewisburg, and Danny ( Linda) Farmer of Mooresville community; brothers, John Baker and Joe Baker of West Virginia; sister, Brenda Flanagan of West Virginia; grandchildren, Nathan Farmer and Amber Farmer; and great-grandchildren, Cohen Farmer and Truth Farmer.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Ernest Farmer and brothers Kenny Baker, Lee Baker, and Jim Baker.
Family will be conducting a memorial service at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Time and Date of service will be determined at a later date.
