Mary Louise Monroe, 93, of Petersburg, died Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Elk River Healthcare in Ardmore, TN.
She was a native of Boothton, AL, the daughter of the late King David and Charlsie Scott Lee. She was a supervisor for Redstone Arsenal and graduated from Montevallo High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Monroe; one son, Eugene “Rollo” Polk in 2018; brothers, Dan Lee and C.P. Lee; and a sister, Nellie Resmondo.
She is survived by sister, Sylvia Robertson of Ardmore, TN; granddaughter, Kelly (Mike) McComb of Petersburg; grandsons, Nathan (Shannon) Polk of Culleoka, Jason (Wendy) Polk, and Tom (Tara) Polk, both of Cornersville; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, Oct 4, 2020, at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery at Ostella.
Visitation with the family will begin on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Cornersville Funeral Home.
