She taught first grade for over 25 years at Marshall Elementary School in Lewisburg, TN and was an active member at Church Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Winston Reed; daughter, Mary Alice (Jimmy) Brooks; son, Ryan (fiance Kayla) Reed; sister, Loretta (Frank) Daniels; brother, Harry (Cheryl) Riggs, Jr.; five grandchildren, Mark Brooks, Annalee Brooks, Katie Marie Brooks, Sophie Reed and Garrett Reed and a host of nieces and nephews.. ...

Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, 11 a.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel. Visitation prior, beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
