Mattie Lee Hazlett, 90, of Lewisburg, TN, died Monday, May 22, 2023, at NHC Oakwood.

She was born Sept. 16, 1932, in Lewisburg, to the late Brooks Valentine and Velmer King Thomason. She was employed with Genesco until its closure and then Walker Die Casting until her retirement. She was also a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church and attended the Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas Hazlett; two sisters, Mary Ruth Lee Hargrove and Mary Margaret Harvey; and a brother, William August Thomason.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091, with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin at London Funeral Home on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
