Mildred Frances Ford, 81, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Marshall Medical Center.
Mrs. Ford was a native of Lincoln County, but spent her adult years as a resident of Lewisburg. She was the daughter of the late John Whitaker and Lizzie Morris. She retired in 2010 after more than 30 years of private duty nursing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Frank Morris, and sister, Lillian Hightower.
She is survived by two sons, Hundley (Novella) Ford Sr. of Lewisburg and Rueben (Sandra) Ford of Nashville; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille Smith of Compton, Calif. and Betty Turner of Pasadena, Calif.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 18, from London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Clay Hill Cemetery.
